Business Development for Climate Energy
Background and objectives
Climate Energy sought Verdant’s help to extend their reach in the East of England as the Advice Centre for the Energy Saving Trust. Climate Energy had held the contract for the Essex Advice Centre for more than 10 years.
Verdant’s objective was to provide the marketing elements for the bid. Verdant looked at how Climate Energy could add value and exceed the expectations of EST. Finally Verdant helped Climate Energy to prepare for the presentation, re-branding their slides, assisting with the development of Q&As and a run through of the presentation on the day.
Results and evaluation
- Climate Energy won the Energy Saving Trust contract worth c. £800k over three years which moved them from being Essex only to the Advice Centre for the East of England
- Analysis of the potential throughout the East of England for domestic carbon savings using demographic data and identified the most cost effective routes to market
- Verdant helped Climate Energy to develop a strategic approach and implementation plan covering housing and transport carbon reduction.
